I began this painting outdoors sitting at the edge of Saratoga Lake in Saratoga Springs, NY. It began to get a bit too cold for me so I brought it home....waited quite a while....and just finished putting the final touches on it from memory and imagination. 

The photo does not do this painting justice. It was difficult to photograph. The white areas of the clouds are a bit whiter but this is the best I could do. The painting is more beautiful in person...but that's usually the case...
