"TIPSY" by Marina Petro

"Tipsy"
6x8 inches
Oil on Raymar Canvas Panel
$100
SOLD

It was a little tricky getting these little tipsy pears to stay put long enough to paint them. I must be a curious sight to other shoppers at the supermarket fruit bins as I thoughtfully pick up one piece of fruit after another...sometimes contemplating them in my outstretched palm...other times balancing them on the closest flat surface I can find...moving them around in different positions...It's fun!

I hope this painting displays it's rich colors on your computer screen. I am the very happy owner of a Macintosh computer but what I see may not be what you see if you have a Windows computer.

Today's Quote: "If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it; blame yourself that you are not poet enough to call forth its riches; for the Creator, there is no poverty."
-Rainer Maria Rilke

"DREAM GARDEN" by Marina Petro

"Dream Garden"
6x8 inches
Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
$100
Purchase here
"Dream Garden" is another product of my imagination. I began cleaning up the dried up flowers in my gardens today...preparing the beds for new plantings. It's still a bit risky here until Memorial Day weekend. I can't wait to see how everything develops this year. I'll have a lot of subject matter to paint.

Daily Quotation: "I thank you, Great Power, for working me ever more lightly in ways I can't make out. The day's labor grows simple now, like a holy face held in my dark hands."
-Ranier Maria Rilke

"ANGEL BIRTH" by Marina Petro

"Angel Birth"
6x8 Oil on Gallery Wrapped Stretched Canvas
$100

I'm happy with the way this painting turned out. I'm thinking about creating a larger version soon.

One the local newspapers in my area just published an article about me and the Daily Painters. I'd emailed them a press release announcing my affiliation with Daily Painters Marketplace and the Painting A Day movement. They were very excited about the concept and decided to publish a feature article instead! I've posted it at my website. It might be a bit blurry but it's the best I could do with scanning it. Here's the link:

I love it when angels 'come through' and want to be painted....Can't have too many angels...
