It is almost apple picking time here in upstate NY. I live out in the countryside of Saratoga Springs near a huge apple orchard. Depending on what else is transpiring in my life, I will do my best to get over there and pick apples with plenty of leaves attached. It is so difficult to find fruit with their leaves still attached and intact. Leaves add a great deal of interest to the painting.
