 This is one of the rare acrylic paintings I've created. I began with a base of iridescent copper paint, allowed it to dry and then, as usual with my celestial creations, began to paint spontaneously.   The photo does not do this piece justice. I'm happy with how it turned out. Here's another painting that would be magnificent on a very large canvas....one of these days I will actually do it and stop talking about it...

Well this is one bird that didn't want to be photographed by my trusty Canon. I've tried photographing her many times in a variety of lighting situations but every time, her face was washed out. I finally had her professionally photographed. She is currently hanging out with my other creations at my studio/gallery at 79 Beekman Street in Saratoga Springs, NY. If you are in the area, stop in and say hello. She's been getting a LOT of attention there. 

I can't see what you see on your monitors. On mine, she looks a little dark but I am hesitant to make any color changes. 

Firebird is another Phoenix Rising that was born from my imagination. It is not a new painting. I've had yet another phoenix in the recesses of my mind which is the most powerful depiction of all. I have avoided making an attempt to paint it. I suppose I will when the spirit moves me and the time is right.

I a particularly fond of this painting. The detail on the bird's feathers turned out beautifully. It is difficult to see it in this photo. I have it displayed in my gallery and it is receiving many wonderful comments. Crows, Ravens, and other blackbirds evoke a deep feeling of mystery for me.
