Oh, would I love to be in this painting right now. Just beyond the flowers and through the mist is the most beautiful pond. Can you see it?  The inspiration for "Enchanted Garden" was one of my beautiful gardens - painted spontaneously and intuitively from memory

"Glowing Garden" was painted with brush and palette knife. The palette knife added very nice texture and another type of spontaneous expression. There is less control with the knife. It's been  an interesting excursion in expanding my creative direction since I've been experimenting with the knife with both oil and acrylic paints.

THE HAPPY GARDEN  was created plein air at the entrance to the famous Victoria Pool  

at Saratoga State Park in Saratoga Springs, NY. - my current and very beautiful home town! 

The flowers on my table in the photo with my painting gear were presented to me that afternoon by the man who plants all the beautiful floral displays throughout the park - he is truly an artist as well! This year's displays are the best ever.

As I was finishing up this painting, a woman passed by and loudly exclaimed how HAPPY this painting made her feel.....hence.....it's name!
