It's 9:30pm. I was happily painting when suddenly interrupted by a huge bug flying around my studio. It looked like miniature helicopter and began dive bombing into the ceiling and walls. I ran out of the room, closed the screen door to the studio and observed it from a safe distance. Needless to say, the painting did not get finished. Oh, the joys of summer...

Spirit Rising was spontaneously painted from my imagination. It's always a surprise to see what comes forth when I allow my spirit to take the lead.

"Ascending" was painted several years ago. Needless to say, it was painted from my imagination. I have yet to encounter an angel in the flesh hanging around to be painted. I've sold dozens of prints of this inspiring image. The original painting is still available. I am now able to offer giclees on canvas as well. I hope she inspires you as she does me.

This has been a 'lost weekend.' I haven't painted. My current pressing project is to recreate my main website (link below) due to a glitch that has been preventing me from making any significant changes or posting my new paintings. It is a daunting task and I am in a state of exquisite procrastination. Maybe the angels can help me with this one...

A little different from what I have been painting lately. This painting was inspired by a photograph my brother, Byron, shot and then morphed in Photoshop. It was fun painting. Provided me with another opportunity to try my hand at acrylic paints. I will be away for a day or so and won't be painting. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend.

Here's another painting featuring 'the pear that would not die.' I love the way it turned out. I found an old zebra skin patterned scarf hidden away in a closet and decided it would make a great backdrop for my precious pear.

Here is the second painting which includes 'the pear that would not die'...the one with the leaf still attached. Another mini miracle happened in my jaunt through Price Chopper today. I found two more little green pears with leaves attached. The miracle is that I was able to get them back to my studio intact. No need for crazy glue this time.

This is a repost from way back in my archives. I like this painting a lot. I was so happy when I miraculously found these pears with their leaves still attached. Today I've been busy creating a brochure for my upcoming classes in Intuition Development and Painting From "The Zone." You can check them out at my website link below. Another product spontaneously painted from my imagination. One of the peak experiences I've had was driving home from Montauk Point on Long Island, NY in the midst of a hurricane with my mother and three small daughters. I was quite young then and foolish. I stopped the car and got out to watch the huge waves crashing on the beach. I almost got blown away. It was awesome.

I was at the kitchen sink with the song "Lean On Me" by Bill Withers running through my mind. Out of the blue I 'saw' an image of two pears in my fruit basket ...and that's how this painting was born.
