The only one of it's kind in the entire universe...imagine that!

This angel was created intuitively from my imagination. I wasn't sure what I was going to paint. I began painting the black oval shape which is now the angel's face and the painting went from there, developing into the figure with wings...so I had this painting with a black oval just sitting there for quite some time without a defined face. One day, feeling brave enough and determined to finish it, I took a deep breath, cleared my mind as best as I could and let my intuition just take over, one stroke at a time. What I enjoyed most was creating and painting her jewelry as I went along, moment to moment. I am happy with the result.

The picture representing this painting does not do it justice. It looks great in my photo editing software but when I post it here it loses some of its luster.  I began painting this piece with nothing in mind and just began 'fooling around' with color...and...another angel was born...

Thought I'd post my newest little angel on New Years Day with the intention that she bring you all many blessings, good health, happiness, prosperity and all that is beautiful to lift your spirit.

I spent New Years Eve home with Victor. At one point I tried to view the full blue moon but the cloud cover was too dense and it looks like it's even moreso today. I'd intended to paint the full moon, even if it was from my imagination but got lost in the details of the day. I picked up paintings from an exhibit in Saratoga Springs, stopped to visit one of my daughters, photographed paintings (including this one) after a stretch of not wanting to go near a camera...and a bunch of other little details and here I am..4:43 pm and ready to take a nap with my trusty giant sized heating pad. It covers from my neck to my lower back and all across my back...so comforting...

When I completed this painting, I realized it was the angelic 'vision' I had when I was 16 years old, while walking through Central Park, in NYC very late one night with a friend. As we were walking, something made me turn around and I saw this image floating very quickly toward me...her arm, moving in a chastising gesture, directed at me. I got so scared...  started to run...  out of the park and went home where I should have been in the first place. I'm sure she was protecting me...

Another angel from my imagination to bring you blessings.

One of my daughters emailed me yesterday to inform me that the Orionid Meteor shower was taking place last night and into early this morning. I woke up at 5:30, had a cup of coffee, wrapped myself up and stepped out onto my back porch to see what I could see. I was standing there awhile waiting and waiting, and finally, I turned around for a moment and there it was! One lone meteor that soared downward in one quick moment...but what a thrill! It's hard to describe the emotion I felt but there was an internal leap within me that brought me back to how I used to feel as a child when something new and exciting was happening.

May this little angel descend into your lives and bring blessings from Heaven to you. She is another product of my spontaneous intuitive painting. I began the painting with a dark background and began working white in lightly to create the mist. I thought an angel would be appropriate here...held my breath...and with a few strokes, she was born. Planets and stars were added in later. I'm not always that lucky...sometimes I create quite a mess...

I'm getting more and more frustrated with myself lately. I want to paint in all my developed styles all at once and it is just not possible. Currently, I have a new still life that I really like half done on the easel. Another half drawn painting of an exquisite water lily (from a fantastic photo my daughter, Andrea took) is waiting to be worked on in my studio. I'm posting this painting here today and just seeing it makes me want to start another 'Zone' painting...I suppose I'll have to just live with this creative onslaught...
