STORMY is an original oil painting created from my imagination. It seemed to paint itself. I am never quite sure how a painting is going to develop or how it will complete. When I surrender to the process, the whole experience usually flows without too much struggle. Yes, surprised??? Painting is often a great struggle...It is a struggle to achieve harmony. When that finally happens, it is truly a healing experience.

Here is another original angel oil painting created from my imagination. Although I named it "Emerging Angel" I hadn't intended to paint an angel. It seemed to paint itself into the painting at the last minute. I also named the painting several times and just as I was about to list/publish it at my online Etsy Shop, the words Emerging Angel appeared...and here she is...ready to bring blessings to you and your home.

This beautiful and mystical work of art also reminds me of the red mountains in Sedona, Arizona.

"Glowing Garden" was painted with brush and palette knife. The palette knife added very nice texture and another type of spontaneous expression. There is less control with the knife. It's been  an interesting excursion in expanding my creative direction since I've been experimenting with the knife with both oil and acrylic paints.

Now isn't this the most cheerful painting? I began painting it on an outdoor painting excursion to Skene Manor in Whitehall, NY and finished it in my studio from my imagination. I used a combination of palette knife and brush.

This landscape with springtime blooms will certainly lift the mood wherever it is displayed.
