 This painting, in particular, is much nicer in person. I've photographed this painting with my regular camera, my iphone camera and scanned it as well. The canvas texture looks much coarser than it actually is with all the photos....oh well.

I enjoy painting these miniature works. They are created from my imagination and bring forth images that continue to surprise me when the piece is completed....ah...the mystery of creative endeavor...

"Flight" is another creation from my imagination. I am particularly fond of this one. I love working with fiery colors. It looks better in person. The canvas texture in the photo  is a bit exaggerated and not as noticeable in the original work.....not that canvas texture is objectionable....just not as pronounced in this painting.

"Moonfire" is another fun miniature creation from my imagination. My camera was not able to pick up the very deep turquoise blue that is toward the center of the painting blended with the dark blue. I am happy with this little piece...

Here is another little gem of a painting. I love painting these tiny pieces. They are getting me out of my painting 'funk' to an extent. I'm going with my natural rhythm rather than push myself.

My secret project..."YOUR AURA MADE VISIBLE"...If all goes well, I will be unveiling this inspired idea that I've been pondering and working on by the end of next week. I have always had the ability to 'see' colors around living things...people, animals, etc...and now I have been creating aura paintings.

Here is another miniature gem of a painting. I will state my usual ... it is much more beautiful 'in person' because the texture of the canvas is magnified in the photo above and it looks like there's nothing I can do about that when trying to capture the image. I've tried photographing, scanning, photographing at a distance and nothing has worked so it is what it is....

"Illumined" was painted from my creative and often compulsive imagination. I've painted many garden scenes with light streaming in similar to this and I'm not through yet...

I am happy with this little gem which was painted spontaneously from my imagination. The background color in the original is more of a deep violet. It looks more like a deep blue on my computer's monitor...

"Flight" is number two in the new series of miniature works I've been creating. It is actually smaller than the picture above, being only 3" x 3" and the texture of the canvas doesn't appear as pronounced in the original. The colors are richer too. I really like this one a lot and can see it as a much larger painting.

Yesterday's attempt at painting was a disaster. It started out just fine and I should have left it alone but didn't. I kept working it over and nothing fell together quite right so I brought it to the kitchen sink and scrubbed as much paint as I could off. Oh, well...

The actual painting is much nicer in person. It is quite difficult photographing these miniature works of art. The canvas texture is rougher in the photographs and the photo doesn't show the subtle changes in the blending of colors.

"Moon Over Sunset" was inspired by a similar larger painting I'd created a while back which has been adopted into a good home. The photo above may show up a bit larger on your monitor than the actual 3x3 inch original....and...the canvas texture is much smoother on the actual painting. Both my camera and scanner love those canvas textures and seem to magnify them...weird...

Up until the second I uploaded the photo of "Cosmic Heat" to post here, I was seeing it as a celestial painting. I looked at it just now, and all of a sudden, I saw it as a seascape with a full moon. Now I can't decide, nor do I want to, whether it is a skyscape or a seascape...It is whatever you want it to be.

Whoever said you can't have it both ways?
