"Sunflower Patch" is another painting created at the beautiful Saratoga State Park in Saratoga Springs, NY. The flower displays seem to be waning a bit and I have a few other locations I am considering painting at. The park just might refresh their beautiful displays with autumn plantings though...we'll see.
Can you feel the joy in this painting? I was so happy and thankful to have found this exceptionally beautiful location to paint this summer. Plein air painting is quite a different experience than my usual studio painting and I hope to get much better at it as time goes by.
