Psychedelic Pear is the sixth in the series of large still life paintings I've been creating. I love painting these bold and bright still lifes. One of the things I like about it is discovering the fabrics and decorative papers to showcase the fruit. This one has gotten quite a bit of attention at my studio in Saratoga. It is wonderful to be accessible to the public and interact with them. I don't feel as invisible as I used to...
Are you aware that pears are less allergenic than many other fruits, and pear juice is sometimes used as the first juice introduced to infants. It is also said to treat inflammation, high blood pressure, and other nasty conditions. They are also a good source of dietary fiber and vitamin C.
"Today's Quotation" "A man watches his pear-tree day after day, impatient for the ripening of the fruit. Let him attempt to force the process, and he may spoil both fruit and tree. But let him patiently wait, and the ripe pear at length falls into his lap!"
-Abraham Lincoln

i really liked the pear and the background also looks as yummy as the pear
ReplyDeleteThank you Megha. The pear was yummy and I am looking forward to creating another painting with this fabric...possibly with lemons...
ReplyDeleteI really like the psychedelic background, which really pops out the pear. I thought at first that it was a photograph of a pear, but then I realized that it was a painting of a pear. Nice stuff you got here Marina!
